eMarketplace

eMarketplace is the State’s shopping platform for Central Contracts awarded through Government Support Services (GSS). Suppliers awarded under a GSS administered contract will be enabled in the eMarketplace platform gradually, in one of the following manners.

Catalog: Contracts that contain products or materiel will be available for on-line ordering. Catalog enablement would be through a Hosted Catalog or a Level 2 Punchout Catalog, depending on supplier capabilities.

Online Shopping Cart

Request for Quote: Contracts that are more service focused or have a product catalog that may consist of highly configurable products would be enabled as a Request for Quote. This functionality will allow: (1) State buyers to submit a request for services, (2) contract suppliers to respond to the request, (3) State buyer to place an order with the contract supplier selected, centrally.

Informational: Contracts that require more supplier engagement, or involve working with authorized resellers will be uploaded, with the contract details only. These purchases will be made through other means (phone/email/in-person).

ALL of the above enablement types will allow State buyers to “Shop at the top” (the search bar along the top of the page). Based on the search results, the buyers will either:

  • Add products to their cart and checkout.
  • Request a quote for a project/need which can then be added to a cart for checkout.
  • Find contact information for additional engagement.

Considerations

  • Once the test site is approved, there will be a two-week lag to configure the production site.
  • Once the production site is live, GSS has some additional testing to complete.
  • Once production site is tested and approved, there will be a two-week lag to finalize for Go Live.

While we work through testing, we are preparing end user, supplier, and internal documentation on how to use and maintain the platform. At least one virtual training session will be held and recorded to give end users a tour of the marketplace prior to Go Live.

Access Points

For security purposes, eMarketplace will require access through a Single Sign-On site for all users.
